We are all witnesses to the growing frequency of disasters negatively impacting our communities. Their impact is often severe, resulting in loss of life, destruction of property and critical infrastructure, upheaval in economic and social activities, scarcity of essential resources, and enduring psychological tolls on survivors. Preparing for disasters is imperative, as it stands our best defense to save lives, expedite recovery, and mitigate the profound psychological repercussions that follow in the wake of such events.
Believers Church Medical College Hospital, Thiruvalla, is organizing a One-Day Conference on Disaster Preparedness on November 5, 2025, as part of the preparatory academic activities for UNITED ’26.
